Alan Tessmer

General Manager

Alan Tessmer graduated from the University of Arizona in 1981 with a BS in Marketing. For the past 28 years, Mr. Tessmer served as the acting Owner/President of Pro Tech Marketing, Inc., operating in Arizona and Nevada. Mr. Tessmer lends his vast experience in marketing, sales, and management of a multi-million dollar operation to Southwest Processors. He stated "I have been able to grow my business every year with great customer service and attention to detail, and will continue to instill those same values here at Southwest Processors".

Jason Pitzer

Plant Manager

Jason Pitzer, originally from Seattle, Washington, joined Southwest Processors in late 2015. A Washington State graduate, Jason recently moved to Arizona from the Palouse region in the upper Northwest. He brings vast experience in processing and managerial efficiencies to Southwest Processors. "Jason possesses incredible amounts of energy and has a unique knack of team-building that has made our operations run like never before", states Alan Tessmer, General Manager.

Teri Turner

Front Office Supervisor

Teri moved to Arizona in 1984 from a small town in central Indiana. Growing up in a farming family, Teri learned at an early age how crops were grown and harvested. After moving to Arizona, Teri finished her formal education and graduated as a Pharmacy Technician. She has extensive experience, 15+ years, in both Quality Control, Inventory Control and Customer Service. Teri is HACCP-trained and is our key team member in our quality control program here at Southwest Processors. Her efforts helped earn Southwest Processors a double “A” rating on our most recent BRC Food Safety Audit. Teri is a fantastic mother of son, Caden. They enjoy hiking, camping and horseback riding.

Ron Schlecht

Farm Consultant

Ron Schlecht hails from the great state of North Dakota. Born and raised on a dairy farm outside of Fargo, ND, Ron quickly learned how things are done on the farm. He is a graduate of NDSU with a B/S in Agricultural Economics in 1974. Ron has an extensive background, 13 years, in conventional and organic food production with Healthy Foods, Inc, (formerly SK Foods). “His 20 plus years of soil consulting and agronomic work with pulse growers, really sets him apart”, states Alan Tessmer, General Manager.
